Scarless Liposuction?

When we talk about liposuction, it always means the removal of fat with some kind of suctioning instrument. Generally, this instrument is a cannula attached to a machine that basically vacuums unwanted fat out of the body.

However, in some instances fat can be removed not with a cannula, but with a syringe. In the instance of Needle Liposuction, fat removal is performed with a needle inserted into the desired area to suction the fat out into the syringe. Needle Liposuction is best performed on areas that require only a small adjustment to their contour, such as the chin, jowls and cheeks. It is not suitable for larger areas such as the thighs or abdomen. The needle is the only thing that enters the body, therefore no incision is required, and consequently, no scars. Generally performed under local anesthetic, it is a relatively fast and simple body contouring procedure.
