A note to those considering liposuction....

While too much fat is bad for your health, not to mention contributes to an undesirable appearance for most people, where the fat is located should also be considered when assessing one's health.
Fat near your internal organs, called visceral fat, is considered far more dangerous than what is subcutaneously located (under the skin). Sure, we need fat to add a bit of cushioning around the internal organs, but too much of it can cause serious health problems such as heart disease. Subcutaneous fat may look bad, but visceral fat is more dangerous to your health!
So, just because you've undergone liposuction, don't think that you can kiss those fat-related problems threatening your health goodbye. Liposuction only takes away the subcutaneous fat, therefore it's important that you continue to exercise and follow a healthy diet after surgery to prevent accumulation of visceral fat.
